| Name: Pam Cartwright, Country/City: England | Posted: 23/04/2006 09:53:07 |
Message: Dear Julie, I have got Harry Clifford, son of Caroline Mason in my tree. Harry's father was called Frederick Clifford and I have lots I can tell you about him and his family tree. The main thing to know is that Frederick became assistant Editor of The Times and that he knew Charles Dickens and Edward Bulwer (Lord Lytton) through his association with the Guild of Literature and Art. The other important thing you need to know is that Frederick Clifford's birth name was Catt and that he changed it to Clifford in 1853. Can let you have more details in due course if you would like it. Harry is my 3rd cousin 3 times removed. Does that make us related? My tree is on genes reunited if you would like a closer look sooner! Kind regards, Pam

Message: Hi Julie, I've tracked my family back to Henry Lanham, born ~1815 in Bishopstone by Salisbury, married to a Sarah Haynor. Possibly witha younger brother Charles. Any of that ring a bell with your researches? There seem to have been a lot of Lanhams in that village! Stuart
